I’m Daryll J Buchanan, a wedding and elopement photographer based in Ayrshire, Scotland, with over 10 years of photography experience. I specialise in capturing a mix of editorial style portraits and natural, relaxed candid moments.

I’ve photographed around 10 weddings so far, either on my own or as a second shooter, giving me a strong understanding of how Scottish wedding days go and how to anticipate meaningful moments as they happen. My background in portrait and event photography plays a big role in my wedding work, allowing me to capture genuine emotion, connection, and personality throughout the day.

Alongside weddings, I’m the photographer for The Stand Comedy Club, where I regularly photograph live events in challenging conditions. I have been fortunate enough to have my work published in newspapers and magazines and even a billboard, so I’m comfortable working under pressure and adapting quickly.

Before moving into weddings, I loved landscape photography, which draws me to elopement weddings. I love dramatic locations, a mix of flash and natural light, and storytelling.

I don’t take myself too seriously and aim to put couples at ease, helping you feel comfortable and present so you can enjoy your day while I document it.
